Our schools award over $11 million a year in scholarships for our students.
UTI/NTI/MMI Tuition Scholarship
The UTI/NTI/MMI Tuition Scholarship (Previously named independently as Live Your Passion and Independence For Tomorrow) is worth $2500-$3500 and is available to enrolled students at any of our UTI, NTI or MMI campuses. Applicants will need to show financial need through their completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). After the FAFSA has been completed, students can submit an application and a short paragraph expressing a commitment to professional success along with their letter of recommendation.

UTI/NTI/MMI Live Your Passion Scholarship Program
The Live Your Passion Scholarship is a $2500 award available to UTI-enrolled students who have completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and who submit a letter of recommendation and a paragraph expressing a commitment to professional success. UTI awarded the Live Your Passion Scholarship to over 1700 students last year.

Independence for Tomorrow Scholarship
This scholarship is available to UTI-enrolled students who have completed their FAFSA and have an independent status. A Letter of Recommendation from an employer and a paragraph expressing your commitment to your educational goals while balancing life commitments are required. $2500 - $3500 is awarded per recipient.

Hot Import Nights Scholarship
If you are creative, enthusiastic and original – this scholarship opportunity is for you! Just submit an application and a 2 minute DVD demonstrating how you live the Tuner lifestyle and how winning the Hot Import Nights (HIN) Customize Your Life Scholarship would help you fulfill your dreams at UTI. You could win one of three scholarships available. The first place prize is $2500, second place is $1500 and third place is $1000.

AFFINIA UTI NTI Scholarship 2008
$2000 tuition scholarships from AFFINIA are available to students enrolled at the NASCAR Technical Institute or Universal Technical Institute scheduled to begin classes within a specified timeframe. To qualify, students need to have completed their FAFSA, received a Student Aid Report (SAR) and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $12,000 or less. An essay and a reference letter from an employer, guidance counselor or instructor are also required.

NASCAR Performance/NASCAR Technical Institute Scholarship Programs
In support of NASCAR Technical Institute, NASCAR has agreed to sponsor two scholarship programs targeted specifically at students at the NASCAR Tech campus in Mooresville, NC. These programs are intended to assist NASCAR Tech students with tuition aid, but also to further NASCAR's initiatives to broaden diversity in racing, and its goal to assist in training the "Techs of Tomorrow." Attached are forms to apply for both of these programs. Awards are limited. Only students enrolling to start classes between November 19th, 2007 and September 30th, 2008 at the NASCAR Tech campus are eligible.

NASCAR Tech of Tomorrow Application
UTI National Scholarship Competition
Provides awards of over $475,000 annually to more than 380 students to attend any of our campuses. The UTI National Scholarship Competition awards up to $5,000 for high school seniors scoring high enough in the national competition test. Tests are given in early spring and allow students to choose from any of four areas in which to compete: Automotive/Diesel, Motorcycle, Collision Repair or Marine technologies.
VICA Skills USA
State winners in this hands-on skills competition can win from $500 all the way up to a full scholarship. These competitions are held in the spring and students can compete in a wide variety of classifications – from small engines and motorcycle through collision repair to automobile service/maintenance and diesel.
Ford AAA
State winners in this hands-on skills competition can win from $500 all the way up to a full scholarship. These are held by individual States and a National Level Competition.
Ford FACT/ASSET
This runs in conjunction with the Ford AAA competitions. Winners from Ford AAA competition will be awarded $500 (4th Place) - $4000 (1st Place) and will be applied toward Ford FACT program.
Auto Dealers Associations
UTI funds scholarships in cooperation with various auto dealers associations throughout the nation. Each association determines their particular criteria and the timing of the scholarship. Participating associations include: Arizona Auto Dealers, Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers, NADA, Greater New York Auto Dealers, Western New York Auto Dealers, Rochester Auto Dealers, Greater Carolina’s Auto Dealers, Greater Philadelphia Auto Dealers, Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers, Pennsylvania Auto Dealers, Pittsburgh Auto Dealers, Richmond Auto Dealers and Washington Area Auto Dealers.
FFA (Future Farmers of America)
UTI funds scholarships in cooperation with various FFA associations throughout the nation. Each association determines their particular criteria and the timing in the scholarship. Participating associations include Louisiana FFA, Oklahoma FFA, Pennsylvania FFA, and TX Tractor and Ag Mechanics FFA. Awards range from $500 to $10,000.
